In the context of UK’s Presidency of COP26, with a focus on nature and sustainable agriculture, CCAFS and FCDO developed this Learning Journey, which aimed to enhance capacity amongst FCDO advisers to support design, implementation and performance assessment of climate-smart agriculture (CSA) projects and programmes.
The here collected presentations were held by CCAFS staff and scientists, on the following topics: Introduction: COP26 campaign on Transforming Agricultural Innovation for Climate, Nature and People by Anna di Palma, Howard Standen, Rachel Lambert and Rachel Waterhouse Introduction to CSA - Levers for food system transformation in global crises by Bruce Campbell Situation analysis and prioritization by Stephanie Jaquet Achieving nutrition outcomes under a changing climate by Laura Cramer Climate services by Robert Zougmore Gender equality and social inclusion by Sophia Huyer Index insurance by Pramod Aggarwal Metrics for Assessing Emissions in the Ag-Sector by Ciniro Costa Junior Sustainable finance by Alberto Millan Evidence-based policies and actions by Dhanush Dinesh Each session aimed to give answers on: a) Why are these actions needed? b) What has to be done? c) How it can be done? d) Where they can find further support? |
