Description |
Spot blotch [Cochliobol sativum(Ito & Kurib.) Drechs. ex Dastur] intensity in wheat (triticurn aestivum L. emend. Fiori and Paol.) has been significantly higher under second date and yield under first date of sowing. Increasing nitrogen application to 150 and 180 kglha increased spot blotch intensity significantly over 120 kg bringing grain yields under 180 and 120 kg/ha on a par in 2002-03. Spot blotch intensity both under conventional and zero tillage were on a par with but conventional tillage gave significantly higher grain yields over zero tillage. Sencor on a par with leader applied @ 250 g/ha kept the disease intensity to the lowest and weedy check to the highest level. Sencor, and leader (33.00 giha) applications resulted in significantly higher and muh~aIly on a par with yields.
