Description |
In this experimental report, we present results from a series of tensile characterisation tests conducted on 3D printed material samples fabricated on a PolyJet multi-material 3D printer. Soft digital materials with a Shore range from A-30 to A-95 were characterised to ASTM D412 standard. We present a comprehensive analysis on 7 digital material blends, of Shore A values of 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 85, and 95, to show the Young’s Modulus, Tensile Strength, and Elongation at Break, and present the hyperelastic stress-strain curves of each material. The complete data set has have not been published before, and are intended to assist the research community in the creation of novel soft, functionally graded and multi-material devices across myriad fields including soft robotics and meta-materials. As such, it is publicly available through CSIRO’s Data Access Portal. |
