Description |
This layer group describes multibeam echosounder data collected on RV Investigator voyage IN2016_T01 titled "Continuity of Australian terranes into Zealandia: towards a geological map of the east Gondwana margin". The voyage took place between June 30 and July 14, 2016, departing from Lautoka (Fiji) and arriving in Hobart (TAS). The purpose of this voyage was 1) to improve matches in the continental geology of eastern Australia, New Zealand and New Caledonia; and 2) to characterize bio-optical and associated biogeochemical properties along the transect. Continuous mapping of the seafloor was carried out using the multibeam systems. This dataset is published with the permission of CSIRO. Not to be used for navigational purposes. The dataset contains bathymetry grids of 10m to 210m resolution of the transit from Fiji to Hobart produced from the processed EM122 and EM710 bathymetry data. |
