Description |
An RNA-seq data from two commercial Australian wheat varieties with contrasting reproductive drought tolerance. Under controlled environment growth conditions, flag leaf and spike tissues were harvested from drought-tolerant Halberd and drought-sensitive Cranbrook wheat cultivars during the young microspore (YM) growth stage of pollen development. Poly(A+) mRNA was isolated using a Qiagen Oligotex mRNA kit and an Illumina bcl2fastq 2.17.1.14 pipeline was used to generate the sequence data. Q30 quality scores of >92% were obtained across all samples. RNA-seq reads were checked for quality and trimmed for Illumina adapters using BioKanga ngsqc (https://github.com/csiro-crop-informatics/biokanga).
