Description The experiment was designed to evaluate effect of different media additives in IVP. Cleavage rates of goat oocytes matured in-vitro with basic media TCM-199 supplemented with either concentration of EGS, or 20% NCS, or 100/0 NSC plus horn1one (FSH @ 211g/ml + LH @ 100 IU ml+E2 @ Illg/ml) or 20% CFF. After 27 h the matured oocytes were picked up and denuded by treating them with 0.1% hyaluronidase and by repeated pipetting through a fine boar pipette. The denuded oocytes were transferred in fert-TALP medium (fertilization medium). The capacitated sperm having concentration of lxl06 live sperm/rol were used for in-vitro fertilization. Oocytes were co-incubated with spermatozoa for 18 h at 38.5±1°C in an atmosphere of 5% CO2 in a humidified air. After 48 h of insemination the cleavage rates of 43.30~ 41.08, 42.07 and 28.68, 41.95, 44.06, 40.37% were obtained for prepubertal and pubertal goat oocytes, respectively, in different treatment groups of the maturation medium when the fertilization medium was kept the same.
