Description Bovine calves (12) suffering with urolithiasis exhibited the signs of depression, dehydration, sunken eyeball and reluctance to move. Bladder was ruptured in 7 animals. The rectal temperature and respiration rate remained within normal range throughout the study. The heart rate was higher (88.50±5.05 beats/min) before surgical intervention. The urine examination did not reveal much alteration. The haematological parameters showed high values of Hb, PCV, TEC and neutrophils count. The values returned towards normal following surgical intervention and fluid therapy. The serum biochemistry and electrolyte showed a marked increase in SUN, creatinine, inorganic phosphorus and potassium'values, however, most of these parameters returned towards the normal at 96 hr after surgical intervention. Total serum protein, calcium and sodium values fluctuated within normal range during the study period. Hypoglycemia was observed initially, which returned towards normal after 96 hr.
