Description |
The aim of this work was to conduct an inventory of the waterbirds in the inner border area of Gimpo in the Republic of Korea, focused on the Yu islet and surrounding area. Yu islet is in the "neutral zone" so it is possible to observe the bird population on the DPRK's side. The first survey section, or the Main Survey Area, includes Yu islet and the surrounding area, all within 5km of the islet. The Second survey section, or the Supplementary Survey Area, includes many of the similar habitats up to 15 km southeast of the Yu Islet. It also includes birds that was observed on the DPRK side of the river. The survey was conducted from 27 November 2018 through 26 April 2019. |
