A short paper by the new, smaller TAC Standing Committee, containing a classification of TAC activities and concerns, and a section on working procedures. The classification lists items under three headings: functional, technical, and relationships involving IARCs. The working procedures set forth the functions and responsibilities of three Continuing Sub-Committees established by the TAC Chairman. CSC I concerned the role of CGIAR centers in the global context. CSC II was assigned the sustainability of production systems. CSC III was to follow the implementation and review of CGIAR priorities and strategies.The paper was prepared at a Standing Committee meeting in July 1986 for consideration at TAC 41
