Advanced breeding and mutant lines of sesamum from different geographical regions were evaluated againstPhyllody, Alternaria and Cercospora leaf spot under natural epiphytotic conditions. Two genotypes viz., LW-2 andSDSN-15-98 were found to be promising against phyllody, Alternaria and Cercospora leaf spot, whereas ten lineswere resistant to powdery mildew. Based on two seasons screening, LW-2 was identified as multiple disease resistantline.
