Description Regression equation {Y= 1.634 + X1(0.729), R2=0.844}, by pooling data of moderately and highly infected plantsof seven varieties for two years, reveals that a unit increase in severity of yellow mosaic virus disease (YMV) cancause 0.729 per cent yield reduction in soybean. However, maximum yield reduction was noticed as high as 85.7 per cent on plants which infected severely in earlier stage of crop (50th days). Zillon, an antiviral remedy @ 6 ml/L at 15, 30 and 45 DAS was found to be effective in controlling YMV as well as in increasing the yield.
