Description In general, the groundnut seed possess short viability. Therefore, an experiment was conducted to extend the storability of seeds by ultra-dry moisture content. The results showed that the groundnut kernels dried to 5% moisture content, vacuum packed in aluminium foil pouch and stored at-200C, -5 0C and 50C maintained the germination above Indian Minimum Seed Certification Standards (>70%) with maximum seedling vigour for the period upto 20 months.
