Description |
This layer group describes multibeam echosounder data collected on RV Investigator voyage IN2016_V03 titled "Monitoring Ocean Change and Variability along 170 W from the ice edge to the equator". The voyage took place between April 26 and June 30, 2016, departing from Hobart (TAS) and arriving in Lautoka (Fiji). There was a port call at Wellington, New Zealand, 26 - 27 May for some science personnel change; this resulted in two "legs" of the voyage therefore Leg 1 is 26 April - 26 May 2016, and Leg 2 27 May - 30 June 2016. The purpose of this voyage was to obtain repeat observations from the line P15S that is part of the international GO-SHIP repeat global survey network. This dataset is published with the permission of CSIRO. Not to be used for navigational purposes. The dataset contains bathymetry grids of 5m to 210m resolution of the Pacific Ocean along 170 W from the ice edge to the equator produced from the processed EM122 and EM710 bathymetry data. |
