Description |
The main objectives of this study are to understand local options and consumer preferences for financing latrines and/or other expensive goods, to assess the potential of demand of upgradeable waterless and pour-flush latrines, to understand household decision-making regarding purchasing latrines and construction for latrines, and to understand all the steps that consumers take from decision-making to the construction of a finished latrine. The study took place in Sekong and Champasak provinces where the program will be implemented. In September 2013, PSI/Laos carried out a qualitative study with households to gather information on these objectives, using in-depth interviews and focus group discussions in each village.
