Description |
21 Participants were shown the names of 100 different everyday objects, and asked to describe the function of each of them. This freeform response data was then hand-coded by tallying the number of times a given function property was named. These were coded as verbatim as possible, except were re-naming was required for disambiguation or for combining very close synonyms. Details of coding are omitted here but available on request. The resulting data file lists each object and its value on all of its supplied features.
