Monthly data on energy consumption in Japan, in megawatt-hours (MWh) from January 2008 to December 2012. Includes energy consumption for the nation as a whole as well as subsets for the TEPCO energy system, KEPCO energy system, large users, and households. Data also include average monthly temperature in Celsius, squared temperature, and an indicator variable for the March 11, 2011 Fukushima Dai-ichi nuclear disaster.
