Description |
This data set categorizes 980 nongovernmental and civil-society organizations operating in Haiti and includes information on sector, budget, location, year founded, number of employees, location of headquarters, and type of organization (when available). The data set accompanies CGD Policy Paper 004: "Haiti: Where Has All the Money Gone?" The organizations listed in this data set are those registered on the Office of the Special Envoy for Haiti / Inter-American Development Bank CSO portal. Because of this reporting bias, the list is not comprehensive; it provides, rather, a snapshot of some of the largest organizations. Individual websites and annual reports were searched to compile data not included on this CSO portal.
