Description |
The Integrated Behavioural and Biological Assessment is a significant component of the overall evaluation strategy of the Avahan programme. The first round of the IBBA was conducted between 2005 to 2006 (for FSWs), 2006-2008 for MSMs, and 2007-2008 for Clients of FSWs in selected districts of Karnataka state of India. The objectives of the IBBA were: a) to measure the major outcomes of HIV interventions funded by Avahan under the India AIDS Initiative; b) to make data available for estimating sizes of populations targeted by the Avahan programme and; c) to make information available to partner organizations under Avahan for modelling the impact of the intervention.
