MAP studies allow programmers to make an assessment of product availability and accessibility using pre-defined criteria for coverage, quality of coverage and access. Its goal is to increase the overall efficiency of social marketing product and service delivery systems. The specific objective of the PSI/Myanmar 2007 MAP survey was to monitor the coverage and quality of coverage of PSI's social marketed product WaterGuard (liquid point-of-use water treatment).
