Description |
To help reduce unmet need for family planning, PSI/Malawi implemented a family planning project with funding from the Dutch Ministry of Development under the Choices and Opportunities Fund (COF). The project aimed at reducing the unmet need through expanded delivery of high quality family planning services that use innovative and integrated approaches in a cost effective manner through social marketing and social franchising approaches. An endline evaluation study was conducted to assess the impact on the key behaviour determinants and population characteristics that are significantly correlated with the use of modern contraceptives. The population for the evaluation comprised all women in the child bearing age from the project districts. Eligible households in the respective Enumeration Areas (EA) were firstly listed then 25 households in each EA were identified by picking the nth household where n household was the sampling interval. |
