The N of respondents in the 1993 survey is as follows: White n=385; African American n=366; Latino n=172; Asian American n=43. Main topics in 1993 include ethnic relations, social dominance, inequality and poverty. Respondents were randomly selected to answer a series of questions from one of three ballots concerning immigration and affirmative action; social distance questions varied depending on the respondent's ethnicity. Interviewing used a computer-assisted telephone interviewing (CATI) system. The questionnaire was deployed in English or Spanish depending on language spoken by respondent. |
