Description |
This file is a subset of a complete enumeration of Indonesia and is a .38% sample (3.8% for Jakarta and Jogjakarta). The subset was prepared by Gordon Temple, Department of Economics at the University of Wisconsin - Madison. The data file contains personal data on the individual's birth, age, sex, relationship to head of household, marital status, ethnicity, religion, language spoken, literacy, educational attainment, migration, number of children born and employment history and present status. Noted in the codebook: "The file received from Mr. Temple is not fully documented in that there are fields which could not be identified. Further, numeric identification of countries was determined by searching the publications and matching the estimated population size with the frequency counts generated by the researcher. All verified variables have been tested by Mr. Temple" |
