Description Abstract from codebook: "Occupation and Industry of: household's main earner, respondent and spouse (in 1964 and 1954), respondent's father at respondent's age 16, spouse's father at spouse's age 16; country of birth and education of respondent, spouse, respondent's parents, spouse's parents; prestige rating of occupations, ethnic groups, industries, religions; opinions of size of salary, difficulty of performance, skills requirements, benefits to society of occupations; ideal occupation; self-reported social class, television viewing habits; religious, political and labor union affiliation; sources and level of income, age, sex, race, type of housing structure." There are approximately 923 respondents and 417 variables. Sample description: Multi-stage area-probability sample.
