Description |
The 1978 California Disability Survey (CDS) was commissioned by the California Department of Rehabilitation to provide current and detailed information about California' s disabled population, including both estimates of its numbers and information about its disabling conditions, activity and mobility limitations, labor force status and job seeking, and use of governmental services. The survey was designed to assist the Department of Rehabilitation in identifying categories of the disabled most n need of assistance and t o aid in the effective allocation of available resources by type of disability and other client characteristics and by geographic area. There are 86,113 cases from 31,126 households. Further information is available from the Technical Report which can be d ownloaded. |
