In this study, we developed and validated two new claims-based live birth gestational age algorithms, using random forests. Please cite the paper if you implemented any of the following algorithms in your study. Algorithm 1: The best performing algorithm, including all 246 predictors, ntree=500, mtry=p/3. Algorithm 2: The simplified algorithm with comparable performance, including 24 predictors, ntree=500, mtry=p/3, ≥ 0.5% variable importance. Please follow the cohort creation in the published paper on the development and validation of the algorithms and use the implementation guide "READ ME_Gestational Age Algorithm Implementation Guide" to implement the gestational age algorithm properly in your database. |
