Description |
The Sun is embedded in the so-called Local Bubble – a cavity of hot plasma created by supernova explosions and surrounded by a shell of cold, dusty gas. This dataverse contains output data from the modeling of the Local Bubble from dust data. We provide full-sky map of the distances from the Sun to the 'inner edge' of the shell of the Local Bubble as derived in Pelgrims et al. 2020 from the 3D extinction map of Lallement et al. 2019. The 'inner edge' and its spherical harmonic decomposition (smooth versions of the surface) are determined in Section 2 of Pelgrims et al. 2020. |
