Description |
The study of zoogeography of echinoderms is important to know the changes in short line or relation of land masses to each other. Very little is known about the zoogeography of echinoderms of Indian Seas. In the present paper the zoogeography of echinoderms from Lakshadweep and Maldives, Gulf of Mannar and Palk Bay along the southeast coast of India, Sri Lanka and Andaman and Nicobar Islands is discussed. Of particular interest is the distribution of echinoderms of Gulf of Mannar and Palk Bay along the south-east coast of India and Sri Lanka .
