Description |
The Agenda Setting Power Model (ASPM) is an analytical tool for modeling the impact of actors on policies (Jahn 2016). The framework provided here consists of Stata do-files for creating ideological positions of agenda setters (governments), veto players and EU institutions making use of PIP data. Other than the ready-made aggregated dataset, these files let you tweak the ASPM to make it better fit with your research question(s). Please refer to the step-by-step guide how to modify the ASPM. The subfolder /datasets contains the most recent version of the PIP main dataset. When downloading the files, make sure to download all files and keep the folder structure in place (cf. the tree view). Likewise, download the data in its original Stata format (not the archival tab format to ensure the do-files will run straight away). |
