Description |
Large-scale science and engineering research projects have transformative potential in society. Success in these large research projects depends not just on scientific merit, but also on organizational and institutional factors: stakeholder alignment, performance measurement, project leadership, data management, people development, and bridging across fields and disciplines. The “Leap to Large” seminar series on these topics drew approximately 250 to 700 participants to seven sessions. In advance of six of the sessions, participants were surveyed on aspects of large-scale science and engineering projects. These data are from the first of these surveys.
