Description This data was collected as part of the Inter-American Institute for Global Change Collaborative Research Network Project: Tropi-Dry: Human and biophysical dimensions of tropical dry forests (CRN3-025). The data was used to study how much carbon is being accumulated annually by secondary tropical dry forests (TDFs) and how structure, composition, time since abandonment, and climate can influence the dynamics of forest carbon accumulation. The study was carried out in Santa Rosa National Park in Guanacaste province, Costa Rica and Mata Seca State Park in Minas Gerais, Brazil. The data sets presented here were collected between 2013 and 2017.
