This dataset was created for the paper "Mainstream Media and the Justification of the Individual Sacrifice:China’s Use of National War Narrative during COVID-19." To explore how Chinese mainstream media shaped a national war narrative regarding to Covid-19 pandemic, this article collected all 13,009 posts published by People's Daily Weibo from 01/20 to 09/08 in 2020, including texts and pictures. These 13,009 posts cover multiple news including Covid-19, international emerging, education, legal issues, and so on.
