Replication Data for: A cross-sectional analysis of investigator needs for non-communicable disease research at the University of the West Indies, Mona Using the Research Electronic Data Capture (REDCap) software, we created, disseminated, and collected online survey data between July 2018 and February 2019 from research staff at the University of the West Indies Mona Campus, Jamaica, and Caribbean-based members of the African Caribbean Cancer Consortium. Information includes 1) researcher characteristics – education/training, occupation, institutional affiliation, country of origin; 2) past and present research activities – areas of focus, funding sources, collaboration & approaches to dissemination; 3) expertise, training, and equipment available for laboratory-based research, oncology & cardiology, care and treatment, epidemiological methods and principles, data collection, management & analysis, field research support, health systems/economics research, and scientific communication; 4) the research environment including access to funding, research, institutional and government research policy & staffing, collaboration, access to scientific literature, and dissemination support. This public dataset includes 186 attempted participant responses. Disease specific modules were included, and for these specialist modules, there were fewer respondents. |
