Description |
The design variable data set can be used as a key to the exact wording provided to respondents in each site. Because experts within each site were asked questions about two distinct groups of people, we piped in custom text to minimize confusion. Respondents at each site saw the specific site and group names for their location. All respondents within a location saw identical information about sites and groups, but may have seen distinct information for any questions in which we piped in text from their own previous answers (for example, we may have asked them to name the largest ethnic group within a site, and then used their response in a subsequent question). Unlike the other two data sets, the design data set contains information we provided to informants, and not their responses.
