Description |
The dataset contains a snapshot of a dynamo simulation of Saturn. The simulation manages to produce a magnetic dipole tilt which is even smaller than what has been observed on Saturn. The simulation was performed using the open source code MagIC (https://github.com/magic-sph/magic). The dataset contains a "checkpoint" files which can be used to continue the simulation or it can be used to seed another simulation. The "input.nml" file which defines the simulation control parameters is also included. |
