Description The paper uses two data-sets, the first is W1-W19 of the British Election Study, this data-set is publicly available via the BES website - we here provide an abridged version of the data that contains only the variables used in the analyses presented in the paper and supplement. The second data-set was collected with support from the Elections, Public Opinion and Parties (EPOP) section of the Political Studies Association
