Seed and seedling characters of progenies of 14 elite clove trees are furnished. Data reveal that no appreciable variation was observed for 100 fruit weight, 100 seed weight, fruit breadth, fruit length, seed breadth, seed length, germination span, germination %, root and shoot lengths and number of leaves of seedlings at 40 days after sowing, 1 year old plant height and 2 year old plant height among the progenies of elite trees at the seedling stage. But variation for number of branches of 1 year old and 2 year old plants, was considerable.
