| Description |
The essential oils of leaves , flowers rhizomes and roots of turmeric (Curcuma longa L., Zingiberaceae) were analysed by GC-MS . The major constituent of flower oil was p-cymene-8-ol (26.0%) while leaf oil was dominated by a- phellendrene (32.6%). The rhizomes and root contained ar-turmerone(31.0% and 46.8%,respectively) as major constituents.
