A new species of scleractinian coral of the genus Truncatoflabellum Cairns, 1989 (Family Flabellidae), Truncatoflabellum madrasensis sp. nov. was described based on specimens collected from Chennai (east coast of India). The species contains 64 septa and the septal symmetry is in the ratio of 16:16:32. Including this new species, a total of 19 species under the genus Truncatoflabellum were recorded from the Indian Ocean region. Not Available |
