Description |
Cardamom (Elettaria cardamomum Maton) is called as ‘Queen of spice’ grown in Western Ghats under shade trees. Cardamom is propagated by seeds and suckers. All improved varieties are clonally propagated. However, raising seedlings with seeds selected from high yielder is a very popular practice in Karnataka. Seedlings are raised either in one stage nursery beds or in secondary beds/polybags. |
