Description |
The present investigation was carried out on adrenal glands of 20 adult apparently healthy female buffaloes to elucidate the gross anatomical structures. The adrenal gland of buffalo was reddish-brown in colour, located bilaterally in the retroperitoneal at the antero-dorsal aspect of the cranial pole of the kidney. The left adrenal gland was larger and heavier than the right one. Significant statistical differences was observed in width and volume of left and right adrenals The difference between left and right adrenal weight, length and thickness of left and right adrenal in gland were non-significant.
