Description |
A passive seismic survey was carried out between December 2019 and March 2020 in the Murchison area of WA around the Wooleen and Meeberrie stations. These data include up to 32 days of continuous recordings of the ambient seismic noise and earthquake signals. Seismic sensors (geophones) used in this passive seismic data collection survey are 1C Smartsolo sensors, and the distance between the sensors varies from 300 m to ~30 km. This passive seismic dataset is collected to image the subsurface (e.g., detecting palaeovalleys) in the area using ambient noise tomography and other geophysical approaches developed at the Deep Earth Imaging Future Science Platform.
