Description |
The black pepper grown by the rooted-cuttings produce vine which on climbing a support produce fruiting branches. But use of fruiting branches as the planting material results into bushy plants. The bushes produce more fruiting branches and hence more yield with better-sized peppers than the plants produced from the rooted-cuttings. Besides, they can also be grown in pots or as hedge in gardens, providing black pepper for domestic consumption. |
