Description |
Yue Minjun’s work is a grin that travels from one space to another, from landscape to portrait, from painting to sculpture. The first questions we ask ourselves when seeing his work are: why always the same head? Why always this same gaping hole that prevents this face from showing facial features? This article is a semio-historical study that attempts to answer these questions.
