Description These replication datasets and dofiles (including list of variables + coding information) allow readers to run analyses reported in article: "Motivated reasoning and policy information: politicians are more resistant to debiasing interventions than the general public" (doi:10.1017/bpp.2020.50):

- The Stata dofile "ReplicationDofileH1H3_IncludingOnlyAnonymizedData", allows readers to replicate tests of H1 and H3 using the datasets "ReplicationDataPoliticiansH1H3_ANONYMIZED" (politician data), "ReplicationDataGeneralPublicH1H3" (general public data), and "ReplicationData_PoliticiansGeneralPublicCombinedH1H3_ANONYMIZED" (combined politician and general public data). Please note that for the sake of anonymity, background variables (needed for supplementary material tables S3a and S3c) have been excluded from the data.

- The Stata dofile "ReplicationDofileH2", allows readers to replicate tests of H2 using the datasets "ReplicationDataPoliticiansH2" (politician data) and "ReplicationDataGeneralPublicH2" (general public data).
