Description |
Dataset on relection prospects of all members of the German Bundestag after all elections from 1957 to 2013. The data can be used, among other purposes, to analyze individual legislative behavior, political careers, patterns of party competition, electoral system effects on reelection prospects, and contamination effects in mixed electoral systems. The procedure used to create the data is described in Michael F. Stoffel & Ulrich Sieberer (2017). ‘Measuring Reelection Prospects Across Electoral Systems: A General Approach applied to Germany’, West European Politics, doi: 10.1080/01402382.2017.1400273. |
