Description |
A field investigation was undertaken at the Indian Institute of Spices Research, Cardamom Research Centre, Appangala, Madikeri, Karnataka, India, to determine the effect of N (0, 50 or 100 kg/ha), P (0, 25 or 50 kg/ha) and K (0, 100 and 200 kg/ha) on the growth of Elettaria cardamomum cv. Mudigere-1 grown under controlled over head shade over a period of 3 years. The highest rates of N, P and K (100:50:200 kg NPK/ha) resulted in the best growth (height, number of tillers, green leaves, dried leaves, young tillers and panicles). |
