Description |
A field investigation and laboratory analysis were undertaken to determine the effect of three levels of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium on tile physical and chemical quality attributes of cardamom growing under controlled shade. The physical parameters. i.e. percentage seeds in capsules, husk percentage and seed to husk ratio were influenced by the nutritional levels. However, chemical quality attributes i.e., essential oil, 1,8-cineole [eucalyptol], α-terpinyl acetate and oleoresin contents were not influenced by the nutritional treatments. |
