Description |
This repository contains the results of a remote sensing based survey of the Upper Khabur Basin in in northeastern Syria and adjacent regions. More specifically, it contains a 22000 sq km map at 10m resolution derived from multi-spectral ASTER imagery that is indicating the most likely locations of anthrosols and, hence, of ancient settlements. The repository also contains files with locations, outlines and physical measurements (volume and height in SRTM digital elevation model, area) for all 14000+ sites identified in the anthrosol probability map.
