This repository contains the data and code to reproduce all analyses and figures in the article "The Impact of Sound-Bite Journalism on Public Argument" examining the association of the length of opinion utterances in television news with acts of opinion justification. The files include the Stata syntax file and analyzed content-analytical data (constructed-weeks data for 11 news programs in Germany, Russia, and the US). Executing the syntax file will reproduce all analyses and figures in the article.
