Description In May 2007 PSI/Mexico will conduct a baseline tracking survey for its HIV prevention Program among MSM. survey aims to answer three fundamental questions related to segmentation, monitoring and evaluation of populations. 1) Segmentation: By each risk/behavior combination, which opportunity, ability and motivation (OAM) constructs and population characteristics are significantly correlated with condom use at last anal sex with casual male partners? 2) Monitoring: What are the levels and trends evident in other key behavior, risk, OAM constructs, and exposure to PSI/Mexico's activities? 3) Evaluation: Is exposure to PSI/Mexico's activities leading to changes in OAM, risk, and behavior? The study population for this tracking survey is men who declare have sex with men, who live in the selected cities and visit public inhabited by MSM in those cities and who have had anal sex with a man during the last three months. The study population is limited to men who join in public places inhabited by MSM, as they are the primary target of PSI programs for MSM. This study design employs calls for a time location cluster survey design (TLS). The 2007 survey is considered the baseline. The follow up survey is planned for May 2008.
